ENGINE 14 ASSISTS ON BUILDING FIRE

May 29th - Engine 14 and Engine Tanker 14 were dispatched at 3:12pm to assist United Hook and Ladder at 29 Center Square, New Oxford, for a building fire. Line Officers from United Hook and Ladder arrived to find lightning had struck the Church's steple. Engine-Tanker 14 assisted with manpower while Engine 14 crew established a secondary water supply on Brickyard Road.

PROM PROMISE

May 13th - Engine 14 assisted United Hook and Ladder with a "Prom Promise Drunk Driver Awareness Presentation" at the New Oxford Senior High School.

MAKE-A-WISH CONVOY

May 3rd - Lieutenant Weiser and Firefighter Messigner participated in the 2009 Make-A-Wish Convoy with Engine 14-1. Make-A-Wish child "Kayden" and his family rode on Engine 14-1 for the 42 mile convoy the went from Battlefield Harley Davidson, Route 15 North, Route 94 South back to Battle Field Harley. This was a day that will stick in Firefighter Messigner's and Lieutenant Weiser's lives forever. For more info on the Make-A-Wish convoy visit www.truckconvoyforwishes.com. TRANSFER TO ABBOTTSTOWN STATION 12

Apr 28th - Engine-Tanker 14 was dispatched at 06:41 at the request of Chief 12 (Abbottstown) to transfer to Station 12. Several Adams County Departments were fighting a structure fire in East Berlin. Engine-Tanker 14 manned Station 12 until they were able to return at 07:45.

CHIMNEY FIRE ON MT MISERY ROAD

Apr 8th - Tanker 14 and Engine 14-1 responded to 200 Mt. Misery Road at 23:54 for a reported chimney fire. The box was placed available by Chief 14 at 00:30.

ENGINE -TANKER RUNS HOUSE FIRE

Mar 23rd - A number of fire companies responded to a house fire at 1450 New Chester Road in Straban Township. Engine -Tanker 14 provided manpower for overhaul and assisted with water supply.

Words that no firefighter ever wants to hear, "MAYDAY". This could happen to anyone!
