| Operationally, 2025 was the busiest year in the history of our fire company. While not busy in comparison to major cities, or even some of our neighboring departments locally, our members answered every call dispatched in the last year at any time of the day. For a small volunteer fire department, we hold that statistic in the highest regard. Our members worked the scene of 24 structural fires during the year, and were dispatched to and staged at many more.
Those same members trained weekly with many of them continuing to further their knowledge base at state sponsored formal trainings.
Of equal importance are the members that work behind the scenes to ensure the fire company is in a place financially to continue sending working apparatus with trained members fully protected onto the street for mitigation of emergencies. The people first referenced in this post also work ensure this.
We have to thank Oxford Township for recognizing the importance of public safety in our communities years ago, and the financial backing they provide.
Finally, our community, and greater community who come to support the events that keep the doors open. Without you and your continued support, we would cease to exist. Your attendance is not unnoticed, and your support is never taken for granted. We are grateful for your continued support, and look forward to that continuing into the new year and beyond. |
